Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship - Deadline March 31, 2010
As an eligibility guideline, the chairman wishes to emphasize that the selection process of these scholarships is based primarily on a “need” basis. The process involves four means of evaluation. They are (1) need, (2) academics, (3) community services, and (4) writing skill. These four categories are allocated points from a total of 100. The evaluators can give a maximum of 40 points for need, 25 points for community services, 25 points for academics, and 10 points for writing skills to any particular application during the screening process.
Applications and requested documents must be received or postmarked on or before the deadline date of March 31, 2010. High school seniors should address their application packets to: Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund, ATTN: Abraham Scott, Post Office Box 1023, Springfield, Virginia 22151.
Please feel free to e-mail the chairman with any questions at geraldine@starpower.net.
