Welcome Back for the 2010-2011 School Year!
School begins on 8-9-2010 and students should make every effort to be at school early on the first day. Like Dr. Clint Baggett always says, "If you can't be on time be early!"
First Day Information
8:00 Grades 10-12 report to the gym for an assembly.
Grade 9 report to the cafeteria
8:50 Students report to homeroom for further instruction.
New student registration July 26th, 9th grade Bar-B-Q (Free Food), July 29th & Locker rentals...
New student registration for Haleyville High School will be Monday, July 26th 2010 from 9:00am until 3:00pm. New students will need to bring proof of residency, birth certificate, proof of immunization (blue card), social security card and grades from school last attended.
Lockers will be $10 this year.
Locker rental schedule will be as follows
10-11 grades Monday July 26th 9:00-10:00
School will be starting back soon!
Teachers return to school on August 4th and students return on August 9th.
AutoZone Toolbox Winner Announcement!
The AutoZone toolbox raffle supporting Auto Technology's trip to National Competition for SkillsUSA was a huge success and will help Mike Batchelor and Clint Carter attend the event at Kansas City, Missouri in June. The drawing was held today and Mrs. Natalie Boykin from the Haleyville Center of Technology Office drew the winning ticket in the presence of Mr. Kyle Garrison and Mr. Mike Batchelor. The winning ticket had Hazell C. on it and a phone number. It turns out the C was for Carter. Mrs.
HHS Tennis State Results and Place
The HHS Tennis team placed 4th overall at the state competition last week. Conner Hood was the state Runner-Up (1 seed). Nelson Tidwell finished 3rd (6th seed) and Nic Palmer and Conner Hood made it to the semi finals in doubles play. Great job coaches and players!
Haleyville Center of Technology students win both state Auto Technology competitions this year!
During Spring break two Auto Tech students won the state Ford/AAA competition and now two different Auto Tech students have won the state Skills USA competion. Todd Hood and Kelsy Barnes won Ford/AAA and Clint Carter won Skills USA with David Canida finishing 2nd. Way to go Auto Tech students. We are proud of you and Mr. Batchelor for all of the hard work and we wish you well at Nationals!
